Tenneco Packaging's operation in Tomahawk is the world's largest liner board mill. Their forestry operation manages 200,000 acres of timberlands. The plant employs over 400 people and contributes more than $100 million annually to the local economy. "We have about 1500 tons per day of finished goods, and obviously we have well over 1500 tons of raw materials going into and out of our mill. We service customers by rail and by truck from coast to coast and we have been able to sustain on time deliveries of near 100%. I have worked at several different manufacturing plants around the U.S. and when I came here I was amazed at the availability of transportation resources. Electronic dispatch and tracking are both available in this area. A customer in Chicago demands same day service and we can deliver with a
Tomahawk carrier." Jerry Lowe, Vice President
